Calvin’s 2nd Birthday

Today, I’m grateful for: This day

Today was the best day. We celebrated Calvin’s 2nd birthday (a little early this year considering we aren’t exactly sure what the next few weeks will hold). I wasn’t sure if I would make it to this day, and I did!

It meant so much to me to be a part of his special day. He got to open presents, blow out birthday candles, and eat cake. All of these little life joys seem so simple in the moment, but in retrospect, are the perfect example of what life is all about. These special little moments, these temporary blips in time that we look back on and cherish so dearly. The memories we made today will be a part of our life forever and I’m just so so grateful to be able to be a part of it. Calvin’s 2nd birthday celebration was a treasure and I think we all enjoyed a special day celebrating him. He is my first-born, the one who made me a mother, and I’m so grateful I got to be a part of his special day.
